A gifted saxophonist
and band leader, Aaron's music harnesses jazz, funk, broken beats,
quirkiness and heaps of soul creating a perfect harmony to accompany
any funky, groovy DJ set, with surprise forays with flute and
windsynth to add contrast.
Recent
successes providing sax for BEVERLEY KNIGHT and the late, great, headline-grabbing
hedonista AMY WINEHOUSE have lead to TV appearances on LATER
WITH JOOLS HOLLAND, BBC IN CONCERT, and the SHARON OSBORNE SHOW
among many others - indeed for several weeks it was hard not
to see Aaron if you were a UK TV watcher as he appeared every
20 mins on the adverts for Amy's lauded debut album - playing
sax draped across Amy's bed of all places, sadly not something that will occur again.
Aaron
has a diverse involvment in music and has appeared with NORMAN
JAY, HED KANDI, DAEVID ALLEN, INNER SENSE, THE MO' HORNS, THE
GMWA, LjC, MARK IRATION, and JIMPSTER, and is in regular demand
from artists in New York, London, and Manchester for this mans
amazing talents - travelling as far as Kazahkstan to play.
Never taking the easy
road, always reaching for musical heaven, Liddard is influenced
by unique artists with a diversity of styles such as Jaco Pastorius,
Apex Twin and Sting, as well as sax greats like Cannonball Adderley,
Sonny Rollins, and Kenny Garrett. Aaron has studied with STEVE
COLEMAN, DR CHARLES BEALE, DR SHEILA WHITELEY, andas well as
sessioning the superstars has also featured on various TV &
radio shows and websites including BBC & MTV, even providing
some of the trailer music for cult TV 
series Doctor Who!
Despite
being a respected and highly trained professional musician in
his own right, there's nothing Aaron Liddard loves better than
to live jam to DJ beats - enriching and exciting with his imaginative
and complementary overlays - a love that has seen him play atthe
trendiest clubs and bars from Moscow to Eastbourne.and Glastonbury
