What We Do

We are
a tax registered, and long established artist , DJ and entertainment booking and
event services business with a high reputation in the
industry.
The agency is headed up by Founder/Director Steve 'Spike' Hull,
an entertainment professional with over 30 years experience in performing, promotion, DJ/artist management. and booking. His in-depth knowledge of
music culture and technology, and the entertainment industry generally,
is complemented by a wide understanding of business matters gained from
a background in blue-chip financial, commercial and contract management.
We pride ourselves on our ethical booking policy and our second-to-none reliability record - a 14-year unbroken artist appearance record (it's probably longer than that but we weren't counting in those days). which as far as we know is unique in the UK industry and possibly the rest of the world too. We value and encourage long-term booking relationships and many of our customers return to book time and again and over the years some have become firm friends - we hope you will too.

About Our Roster
We have a wide range of acts from different
popular music styles and spectrums ranging from funky, electro, house,
techno, hard dance, trance, progressive, rnb, urban, and soulful
DJs, some of the worlds most glamorous female DJs and club tours, and skilled
personailty DJ/hosts for mainstream
nightclub residencies and international season contracts.
Our live acts roster continues to expand
and features saxophonists, trumpet players, bongo, and traditional
and electronic percussionists that play with some of the most famous DJs on the planet
Our dancer roster features male and female
freestyle and choreographed performers in all all types of dance
routines from glitzy showgirls to large Riverdance-style Irish
dancing shows, cultural dance troupes performing dances from
China, Hong, Kong, India, Poland, and samba style Brazilian dancers
from the carnival parades of Rio, as well as street dance and
modern dance troupes doing amazing things
with music, light, ribbons, aerial skills martial arts and all
sorts of break dancing, crumbling and electro boddy-popping.
Look no further for bhangra dancers, bollywood dancers, thai
dancers, flamenco, roller dance teams, ballroom dancers, lion
dancers, jive dancers, line dancers and burlesque cabaret acts.
We have an absolutely fabulous selection
of Burlesque dancers and acts , including a spectacular Dita
Von Teese tribute and our wonderful Ooh La Las who perform a
fabulous 40s sailor girl routine among many others, or Gwendoline
L'amour fan-dancer extraordinaire.
We work regularly with corporate event managers, celebrity party organisers, brands and industry partners to create exciting entertainment packages for those occasions when the very best performers are required. We really can't speak too highly of our artists - they have been absolutely amazing over the years as brand ambassadors for us and our clients, their dedication and passion and ability to 'wow!' has been a major factor in the success of our agency brand, and we can't thank them enough.
Background & Industry Experience
Sparkle Agency was established
back in the early 1990s when our Agency Director realised his pro DJ career was coming to a premature and inevitable end due to a recurring hearing problem. He still had the desire to be involved in the DJ/ dance music industry, as well as having the contacts that could help others in their performing careers. His ideas about promoting other DJs coincided with the emergence of new digital music formats and the birth of the web and spread of personal email online communication all fused together in a vision for a new type of DJ agency - online.
So through a happy marriage of right idea, right time, and right technology Sparkle becamethe World's very first web-based DJ agency. True, we had to wait a couple of years before the internet became more widely understood and used before things started to move, but this gave us ample opportunity to try things out, develop our roster and improve our exposure. Our vision proved extremely successful, demonstrating to DJs, the music community and booking industry.what could be achieved in the new media and setting the industry standard. Through that and various other firsts, we earned a reputation for innovation, and most of the ideas that we pioneered are now common practice throughout entertainment booking and promotion.
Many years on, we have encompassed a much wider spectrum of entertainment. While are are firmly established as one of UK's leading international DJ and artist bookers with particular expertise in the dance music market, we continue to explore new ideas and we thrive on being on the leading edge (and often the bleeding edge) of the booking industry.
2012 was no exception, as we rolled out our new format website designed specifically for easy iPad/tablet viewing, our new dynamic Facebook FanPage as well as the introduction of QR technology on our printed and downloadable documents to enable those of you with scan functionality or apps on your mobile devices to quickly connect with us online. Not forgetting our BOOKINGFORMforFanPages app for Facebook launched in July which is proving very popular.
As we enter our 20th year of operation we continue to review and improve our agency - there's still plenty of surprises to come yet! |
