of Music, Television, Photography, Action sports, Fashion and
style.An established radio
broadcaster, his credits include the legendary "DANCE ENERGY
RADIO SHOW on BBC Radio 1, "RAP ACADEMY" on KISS FM,
"PURE DM" online and "VIBE" on BBC Radio
5. "VIBE" won the Sony award for racial equalities
and harmony in programming. Normski is still rocking the airwaves
on Invicibles 'STiCKY BlaCK PLaSTIC' show every Thursday and
MoS Radio's 'HOUSeXY' show with co-host Nick Bridges.
His TV career kicked off in 1991 when
he became Britain's foremost youth presenter on 'DANCE ENERGY'
for DEF II on BBC 2. The show ran for five series and has
recently been re-screened on the BBC's digital channel BBC CHOICE.
Also in the DEF ll slot Normski presented a 50-minute documentary
on the history of Rap music for.RAPIDO TV and a 40-minute special
'DANGEROUS' featuring MICHAEL JACKSON.In 1995 Normski moved to Channel 4 to
launch "BOARD STUPID" the first ever Snowboard show
on British TV which he not only presented, but also directed
filmed inserts with stars like GOLDIE in Austria. Normski's TV
credits also include many appearances on shows presenting features
on Break dancing, Photography, Fashion, Style and Youth Culture
Normski has hosted a number of major
international live events introducing some of the biggest names
in show business and sport to crowds in excess of 80,000, including
the Lovebox weekender with Groove Armada and Mylo headlining
the mainstage, Jazz cafePicnic in Kenwood Hampstead, Jazz stage
at the Phoenix festival 95/96/9, ENERGY 96 festival of dance
music in Zurich Switzerland, The SONY stage at the BBC Big Bash
and The Pepsi Max Mania Extreme sports event in Manchester.
After presenting the 2000 Notting Hill
Carnival gala at the Millennium Dome, Normski was invited to
do a mini series of Live webcasts of Music and interviews for
the Jazz Cafe in London and a DJ set for Muhammad Ali and Lennox
Lewis as well as a stint as Project Consultant with leading media
design group The Deepend on the www. Technics1210.com site which
celebrates 30 years of DJ culture, and recorded the soundtrack
for the launch of the new Smart car in the UKGenerally considered to be the top UK
commentator on all things urban, Normski is keeping the focus
firmly on the future, internacting with and championing Urban
activity worldwide.He recently coproduced
5 short films based on stories of his experiences using his photography
for Channel 4.
His regular DJ sets plus his weekly radio
show now in its 8th year keep him mainly in the UK these
