Following on
from a three year residency for Stereo Sushi (Hed Kandi's more
Soulful side), Antony has played at Pacha in London twice as
well as Ministry Of Sound in London twice and the massive Secret
Part party project in 2010 as well as many other parties in major
UK cities. Antony has also become involved helping to organising
international tour events, and running the weekly radio show
which is broadcast in 10 countries around the world, and is always
looking for new tracks for forthcoming albums as well as reviewing
new albums for press launches.
As well as appearances for the new Kings
of House brands and also Born To Dance Records, Antony has performed
for Hed Kandi at The Empire in Middlesboro and also in Germany
on New Year's Eve 2010 and Ministry of Sound. Music wise, you'll find Antony playing
anything from Funky to Soulful, Deep to Uplifting House, Old
School as well as Electro House depending on the venue and most
importantly the crowd, being resident at some of the busiest
nights in the clubland of North-East England.
The last few years
have seen Antony being a regular feature in Ibiza spinning for
Stereo Sushi, including spots for Plastik, the Garlands Plastic
boat party and also Eden. Antony has also played in Mauritius
three times for Ministry of Sound and Addictive Tour alongside
Stonebridge, Antoine Claraman and Jon Fitz - the first international
DJs to play on the island to a sell out crowd of 8500 at the
national football stadium. The event was broadcast on the national
radio as well as in the national press and news channels.. In
September 2007 DJ Mag featured the event with Stonebridge
Antony's own radio show Essential House
radio show is franchised across 21 stations around the world,
including the AM Frequency in Brisbane, Australia and the FM
Frequency in Cork, Northern Ireland gathering an impressive 1.2
million listeners each week. The show features regular
interviews and guest slots from the cream of the dance music
icons - including Todd Terry (1 of only 5 worldwide interviews
in 2007), Erick Morillo and Martin Solveig, and showcases the
best in Jackin', Funky, Soulfuland Deep House. The final show
Antony hosts and produces is 'Tuff & Twisted Sessions' and
featuresthe finest in Tech and Electro House each week. Across
the three shows Antony hosts each and every week he covers nearly
every House style you can think of and will always ready to rock the venue with a selection of exclusive tracks
2010 saw Antony's new mix albums hitting
the digital stores entitled Essential House Miami Twenty Ten
on Borntodance Records a sublime mix of Soulful to Funky/Mainroom
style with a few exclusives tracks that are not available anywhere
else. Antony was also asked to mix the Soulheat records Miami
album in March which featured tracks from the label and made
it into the Top 20 on Beatport.
If that wasn't enough he also finds time
to write reviews and features for Defected records, and Borntodance
London born singer/songwriter and DJ Maxine Hardcastle
is not restrained by genre, having written soulful/ funky house
tracks for Hed Kandi and The Ministry of Sound as well as a number
of smooth jazz releases, reaching #1 on the US Billboard chart.
It would be difficult not to claim that
music runs thought her veins - her father, the legendary 80s
popster Paul Hardcastle, made his mark revolutionising the sound
of pop with the record '19', with subsequently Simon Fuller named
the company '19 Management'. Mr. Hardcastle continues to dominate
the American charts with countless hit albums. If that wasn't
enough to claim artistic heritage, Maxine's brother Paul Jr.
is a saxophonist and songwriter who is currently jamming to the
loyal dance music crowds of Ibiza. Louis Hardcastle, her grandfather,
was a credible jazz / soul musician performing his way around
the world until the fine age of 80.
So
it's no surprise that Maxine has
spent her youth immersed in all things musical, finding time
also to . train in classical, ballroom and Latin dancing and
gaining a diploma in theater arts at the famed 'Italia Conti
Academy'. She sang in the Spice Girls Movie, danced on
S-Club television, appearing in the series I-Dream, and sang
live at the Royal Albert Hall as well as co-writing and performing
on 'Hardcastle 4' - and all that before the age of 18!
Maxine
has concentrated on writing and producing her own solo material,
teaching herself digital music production and setting up her
own studio, and teaching herself a professional music program.
From an early age she was determined to become musically
self-sufficient and be able to be involved involved in each step
of making music.
Maxine wrote her first house track 'It's
Gonna Happen' in 2007, which was snapped up by global label/club
brand Hed Kandi, released on the 'Summer Sampler' and 'Beach
House 2007', following up with 'Another Chance' to Wez Clarke's
instrumental on which she also played keyboards. The track smashed
dancefloors everywhere and Hed Kandi obliged again for her second
signing, releasing the track on several albums including 'A Winters
Taste', 'Kandi Lounge', 'Beach House 2008', 'Live Verbier' and
'American' Ministry of Sound Album. Established producer Richard
Earnshaw provided a remix on further albums. Two further tracks
were signed with Hed Kandi proving very successful - 'Walking
With A Smile', originally written by Maxine is a soul/funk number,
was remixed by Wez Clarke into the catchy house track that now
features on several albums. 'Bringing Me Back', was released
on the 'Beach House 2009' album and several albums Stateside.
The 'Mr. Vasovski Mix' was released on Discopolis records and
featured on 'Born To Dance Presents Essential House Miami Twenty
Ten'. Maxine performs her tracks live in venues all over
the world, including Pacha London, Pacha Lithuania, Russia and
The Maldives.
As Miss Hardcastle breezed through the
audition for dance/pop sensation 'Alice DJ' her work with other
producers at Violent Music sparked a fascination with Ableton
Live throwing her headlong into the world of digital DJing. Composing
her own remixes/bootlegs she showcased her favourite house and
electro tracks to audiences weaving her live vocal talents into
her set. Maxine may be relatively new blood on the DJ scene but
she has already sparked a lot of industry interest - not many
DJs we know leave the decks looping and get down onto the floor
to sing in the crowd.
Recent highlights include touring for
'Pink Poison' in Lithuania, as well as appearances at Egg London,
Kuredu Island Maldives, Dreamers Marbella, Dance Crusade festival,
Mac Store Regent Street, The National Polo Championships 'Sandbanks
Rocks' alongside Dane Bowers and Brandon Block, and has played
beside Kiss 100 DJs and Ibiza Residents and has billed at highly
respected club nights Dance Aid, Blow, Miss Moneypennies, Wired,
Be Sombody, Femme Fatale, DiscoTech, MotherFunkers, Pukka Up,
Undetected, Dirtbox, Tutti-Frutti, and the Thursday Night Project
Away
from the decks and dance scene Maxine
finds relaxation from the hard beats and hectic life of a DJ
by writing accoustic, easy listening music. She has co-written
and performed on several of her fathers #1 smooth jazz albums
and recently co-wrote and sang the track 'A Different Kind Of
Love' with American artist Nate Harasim, voted 'Up and Coming
Smooth Jazz artist of the Year. The track features on his album
which is due to be released shortly.

Well
what can we say about this man that hasn't already been said
a million times before other than we are very proud to have a
true dance music legend aboard. Nicky, along with Paul Oakenfold
and Pete Tong was one of the founding fathers of the UK dance
scene, and exporter of the new Ibiza sound to an unsuspecting
and mainly grateful world. 15 years on and most of what we know
as the dance scene today has been built on the foundations of
the vision, perspiration and liberty-taking of these few. Rumour
has it they had quite a good time in the process too!
With roots in the mid 80's soul and warehouse scene Nicky's incredible DJ

to the championing of the Balearic sound and Ibiza scene through
to the opening of his legendary parties and clubs THE MILK BAR,
TRIP, SIN, MARS, VELVET UNDERGROUND in London and Ibiza and involvement
in all manner of apects of the scene and industry over the years
have been well documented in the many books on the history of
house.
These days
Nicky Holloway may be wiser, more reflective and more vertical
than back in the heady days of Ibiza superclubbing and UK Acid
House, but the hunger for playing great dance music is still
there, along with the performance talent that has headlined thousands
of events over the years and that amazing record collection stretching
across 25 years of dance music. This is the man that turned EuroDisney
into rave central in 1993, toured Spain, Australia, New Zealand,
France, Holland, Belgium, Ireland, America, Argentina, Russia,
Egypt, Greece, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, China,
Dubai, Bahrain, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Portugal, Turkey, Malaysia,
Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Brazil, Denmark, Czech Republic,
Switzerland, Italy, Scotland & Kosovo while most of us were
still trying to find a party somewhere off the M25!
The first
BBC Radio 1 Ibiza Essential Mix came from none other than - yep
you guessed it (1995 Privilege)
Nickys' early
production credits include Beats Workin - Everyway But Loose,
Titty Twister - Pussy Blowout, Holloway & Co.- Voyager, Holloway
& Co.- I'll Do Anything To Make You Mine (Incredible), Sir
Real - Spirits High (White Label),NWA vs. Oasis - Wonderwall
(White Label), Beats Workin - Don't Keep Me Waiting (White Label),
Velvet Underpants - Where Is My Man (SL2), Beats Workin - Burn
Out Don't Fade Away (FFRR), Beats Workin - Sure Beats Workin
(FFRR).
Nicky freely
admits his increasing passion for his writing, producing and
remixing, with several projects always on the go (recent customers
include Jon Legend, Carl Cox and Gilles Peterson), is now taking
up valuable DJ time. Nevertheless he still finds time for a London
residency at the immense GUILTY PLEASURES events at KOKO (Camden
Palace), celebrity parties and his regular international forays always generate
the same buzz and fabwelcome from fans the world over each time
he rekindles the legend.
Nicky's latest
venture is a brand new club concept Desert Island Discos - a
concept as catchy as the name, you just can't keep a good man
down. Some of the worlds most famous DJ names have guested or
been spotted grooving at Nicky's intimate nights, with Nicky
returning the favour for the recent KISS FM 25 year celebrations
at the swanky settings of Londons skylounge The Paramount.
Joyce Mercedes
star has been rising fast the last few years. After successful
performances at Dance Valley & Impulz festivals her musical
career has lifted in the Netherlands evolving into a DJ of great
stature with a busy agenda speaks for itself, regularly visiting
several continents in one month and each weekend traveling from
her hometown of Amsterdam to the cornes of the globe, racking
up more than 20 different countries just in the first 6 months
of 2005.
Joyce
is exceptionally talented and is considered possibly the best
female progressive house DJ in the world - we can't argue with
that, her mixing and selection is some of the very finest in
the style we have heard here at Sparkle and she has righly shared
centre stage with the big guns; Sasha, Anthony Pappa, James Holden,
Paul van Dyk, Chris Fortier & Derrick May. Her flawless choice
of records shows a nose for a quality tune and her exceptional
mix technique takes the dance floor from easy and accessible
vocal harmonies through deep and funky foot food to deep, trippy
and hypnotic beats, soaring to stunning prog trance monsters
- a spectacular set that evidences a diverse musical vocabulary
From
her birthplace in Nijmegen Joyce began work as a dancer for leading
organizations Pantera and Extension, later moving to Amsterdam
and performing with her dance colleagueon the Strycker &
Holmes World Tour a sparkling dance show in some of the most
famous clubs in the World. Her passion for music lies in her
dancing as well as her singing. In the not to distant past Joyce
was part of Centerfold, the group that sang in 1998
to a sold out Amsterdam Arena during half time of the classic
football game Ajax-PSV Eindhoven . Centerfold also
added lustre to the 15th year anniversary of Playboy and Joyce
worked regularly as a model, featuring in campaigns for Heineken,
Campari, Gap-Star and Playboy.
Not
being content with success in two fields Joyces passion for music
drove her to invest in truntables and master the art of mixing.
Her first performance before an audience took place in sunny
Miami at a private party and very soon word spread and the bookings
started to roll in, culminating in a DJ residency at the well
known Amsterdam Superclub and a 2-year tour with Ibiza's Space
World Tour to crown it all off. At this moment Joyce has
performed in almost every major club in mainland Europe, North
and South America as well as many in the Far EasHer
striving for success has naturally led her into the recording
studio to produce her own music, which will finally bear fruit
this year with a 12" erelease imminent, though Joyce admits
that she struggles to fit in production time around her busy
live schedule. If it's anywhere near as good as her
live sets it will be worth the wait!
This year has
been a busy one for Henry Hacking and Tony Ryder/Tee Vegas aka
The BeatThiefs. Aside from spinning at their residencies 'Hat
Club' and 'Uglybug', plus trips to Portugal, Ireland, Singapore,
Bahrain, Bali and playing the closing parties at the biggest
Eastern block Festival 'KaZantip', they've been locked in the
studio in prepartion for this Autumns Releases.
The release of their single 'Sao Paulo' on Suka
Records, '2012' on Nikki Beach Music/Rhythm Freaks, as well as
remixes on Relifted Records, Mos Records and Nervous Records.

alongside Chuckie, Dabruck & Klien and Pete Gooding. This
revolutionary piece of Dj-ing hardware (www.nextbeat.net) will
be used to throw the BeatThiefs sets into a fourth dimension.
INCREDIBLE is the only
word to describe Tim - not only does he look like Norman, perform
like Norman and generally misbehave on stage like Norman, but
he is a totally world class DJ act in his own right, so close
your eyes and the experience is still just as mind-blowing.
Tim continues to rip
up the dancefloors of Europes club circuit, and getting rave
reviews from all quarters - even from FAT BOY SLIM himself ..."It's
uncanny and a real honour to be the first DJ to have a tribute
act..."(BBC
Radio One interview 16/01/00) and ".. I won't need to work after
the baby because FATBOY TIM can turn up instead of me..."
(BBC Radio
One - Dave Pearce Show - 05/12/00).
An increasing international
exposure has made Tim a superstar in his own right in the Czech
Republic and he was also the surprise highlight of the 2001 Monaco
Grand Prix after race entertainment, as well as gigs in Spain,
South Africa (Xmas 2003) , India (NYE 2003), Romania and Dubai.
Norman even flew Tim
up to the Juice award ceremonies to play when he was unable to
do so because of other committments - a hell of recommendation
and not one we can better here.
Based in Newquay, Englands
surfers paradise Tim has continued to make the summers his own
at Newquays favourite underground club the Koola, playing
alongside the likes of Lottie and Yousef. Tims own
night Double Bubble Burpa-Cola has been a storming success, packed
to capacity every Saturday to see Tim under his Tim Nice moniker
team up with Dean Moore and scratch supremo Matt Swift for some
outrageous four deck shows bringing a breath of fresh air to
the Newquay scene. Tim also residencies at Plymouth night Therapy
playing alongside John Kelly and a recent move onto the airwaves

With talent and
determination Emma Feline has achieved international status and
recognition as a leading urban DJ. She began mixing UK Garage
in 1997 and has been playing Hip Hop and R&B since 2000, adding Funky House to her repertoire in recent years.
Her precise mixing, formidable selection and versatile style
works any crowd into a frenzy, and her record box has been a
passport to jet set around the world. From India to America,
Estonia to Barbados, Dubai to Ibiza, the list goes on.
Her
career literally began overnight when DJ Funky Smith asked if
she wanted to stand in for him at Bar Code in London. Even though
Emma had only been shown the ropes a week before, she went for
it and was immediately offered a weekly residency. She
quickly joined forces with Lynda Phoenix, another female DJ who
shared her passion for music. The duo made their radio debut
a few weeks later after blagging the Sunday 6am- 8am slot on
pirate radio London Underground. Within a year they were
promoted to Sunday afternoon and set up London's Most Wanted,
an all girl DJ collective that became of great interest to the
media. Guest appearances with Steve Jackson, The Dreem Teem,
and Woman's hour on Radio 4, newspaper and magazine features
in The Guardian, Time Out, Evening Standard, DJ Magazine and
Touch along with T.V interviews and documentaries on Channel
4 and MTV gave the exposure needed to secure bookings at many
high profile UK events including a residency with Twice As Nice
at The End.
During
1999 Upfront FM was the pirate du jour, and Emma was one of their
flagship DJ's.n 2002 she joined London's No 1 for Hip Hop and
R&B Choice FM (owned by Capital) to host the Wednesday night
'Raw Selection', and in January 2004 her musical knowledge and
presenting skills were rewarded with promotion to a Sunday daytime
show.
When
London Most Wanted split Emma began touring the USA three times
a year, building up a faithful following in New York, Baltimore,
North Carolina, Washington DC, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Miami, Gainesville,
Seattle, LA and Dallas, where she is hailed as a major pioneer
of UK Garage and 2 Step. During these trips she would hunt down
the latest Hip Hop and R&B records before their UK release.
Not
just a talented DJ, Emma Feline turned her skills to the studio,
producing and remixing tracks under the alias of London's Most
Wanted, Fierce and Funky and Tombraider and setting up her own
label 'Stereotherapy' - The gold selling compilation 'Twice as
Nice, Urban Flava's was one of the largest selling urban compilation's
ever - being expertly mixed mixed by Emma and Steve Sutherland,
and featuring her own productions 'Indian Summer'.
With
her fingure on the pulse of a vibrant UK Emma was also approached
by Tense Magazine in 2003 to write her own column. The aptly
named 'Decks in the City' is bursting with candid stories, collected
on her DJ travels, and she took the concept with her when she
was asked to join Touch Magazine in 2005.
